QB Eagles

The two ints were such atrocious situational awareness by Hurts. They weren't called deep balls. Made zero sense to go deep in those spots, when you have opportunities to drain clock (first one) or kick the FG (second one). Earlier I was begging for them to try some bombs, then they try it when it makes zero sense to.

Essentially zero explosive plays in the game against a defense that is not good. Johnson has no idea what he's doing and to the extent that Sirianni is developing the game plans, he is implicated as well. With the weapons they have, calling this offense should not be a struggle, even when Hurts has a bad game.

Defense to me is more of a personnel issue. Bradberry has aged several decades in the offseason. Brown can't tackle. Shaq Leonard might legitimately be worse than the LBs they already had. Defensive line is out of gas. So of course, this is the unit where the Eagles make a coaching change.

the amount of blame BJ gets is astounding

i know QB has no racial animus but my liberal ass is seeing it as 100% lets pile on a black dude. this is sirianni's offense...he puts the game plans together and is the brains behind the operation. the OC helps and chooses the plays but the concepts and style and structure are all nick.

its a triumvirate between hurts, johnson and sirianni yet johnson gets the smallest amount of responsibility and the most amount of hate.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

QB Eagles

The triumvirate last year was Hurts Steichen and Sirianni and the offense was all world. Just noting the piece that clearly did not change for the better. We were sold on the concept that Johnson would provide continuity and that has not occurred. It's not just worse outcomes, it's a noticeable degradation in scheme, adjustments and play calling. Definitely a lot to blame to go around to all parties though. And there are a bunch of other offensive minds behind the scenes too, and we have no way of knowing which of those are contributing trash. Easiest way for things to improve is for Johnson to learn from what doesn't work and turn things around, but we have no evidence of that yet.

MDS

maybe they were all world because they played a bunch of bad teams + there was limited tape on what sirianni did best. now that they are playing good teams and there is copious tape, the league knows how to stop them and more importantly make hurts uncomfortable.

im not absolving BJ of any blame, but this stretch is more of an eye-opener about sirianni and a five alarm fire about hurts

Quote from: General_Failure on December 19, 2023, 09:04:28 AMI too am spoiled from their one season of success in the 43 years I've been alive.

They're not a good team right now, and they're probably going to lose to the Bucs in the first round. That's fine, get it over with and let Kelce retire before he completely falls apart so we can see his Hall of Fame induction before Jason Peters officially retires.

Damn I love you!!

Sirianni and his weird fixation with Quez is disturbing.  His whole off season Quez is the best marketing campaign was ridiculous.  It's Quez Watkins.  Stop.

It's a shame they didn't bring in an aging tall receiver in the middle of the season to make one or two plays a game.

The man. The myth. The legend.

They brought Jordan Matthews back?

After seeing all this crap going down, sure feels like Doug Pederson all over again.

And did anyone see the Payton's on MNF?  They had Christian McCaffery as a guest and he was prediciting the Eagles offensive plays. So damn predictable.  Heard Baldy calling out the coaching staff on how they have made a mess of the O line.

Wonderful times.
