hes hitting for an unsustainably high average...its mostly singles. those grounders through the 5.5 hole are eventually going to find gloves, so are the liners just over the 3B's head. he needs to hit for power and walk more, and he hasnt done that on a consistent basis. we're 2+ years into the career so this is what he is: a singles hitter with bad glove. but sure enjoy this hot streak.

something to keep in mind with the 5th starter trade - they can more or less stay on turn and the 5th starter would only face bad teams until the 2nd to last week of the season (6 straight games vs. tor + atl). eflin could be back by then.

i think this is part of their reasoning. if they arent willing to pay the price for a legit upgrade like mahle, is it worth it pay a small price for a marginal upgrade in games against the marlins, reds, pirates, etc.

im not in love with marsh. under water OPS+, super mediocre numbers even against just RHP. good defense, good athlete which they need more of. but man they better be right about this evaluation, thats there more to him than what we've seen.

Second prospect was Jadiel Sanchez. I wasn't a fan of giving up O'hoppe but the rest of what they gave up is scraps. They got a solid starter, dependable closer and a young outfielder. Not only that but they rid themselves of Moniak/Familia/Dubbel
