Pokemon Go is taking over this island!  Worse year of my life was when my son was into that shtein back in the late 90's.

Apparently it's taking over everywhere. It's like geo-caching, but you get fake Pokémon cards instead of actual trinkets.

this would be cool except it looks like they put og tecmo not superbowl which is an all time awful decision

That was my first reaction as well.

My guess is some point they'll release an expansion or a different edition with different games. Maybe there are licensing issues with TSB or they just miscalculated that people won't want to play with 1990 rosters.

I suspect this will be a runaway success like their Pokemon Go game. I'm deep into emulation of old games and have my own setup, but a device like this makes it dead simple for anyone.

yeah i have a working original nes so it doesnt really effect me but its just stupid....i would sort of get it if they just wanted to initially put out the original versions of games to start out 100% throwback but they put out three mario brothers on it

and yeah it should do great...especially at that price point...it is dirt cheap...do you know if you will be able to play online against other people?

it wont be epic because they dont have any good sports games on it...and who plays non sports video games....even as a kid i didnt do that

I'm not seeing any kind of network connectivity on this thing, but I think everything we know so far is based on a rather sparse press release so who knows what Nintendo has planned for this.

if they do have some type of network connectivity, I would think there would be a way to expand the game titles down the road.
