its clearly not rigged...but if it was the lakers would be first this year

the sixers are a pretty worthless nba franchise. in the nba the lakers and knicks are in a category unto themselves. the celtics and bulls are next in line. right now the warriors are a huge draw but that wont last forever. then theres the big market teams like the sixers, mavs, rockets, heat, bullets that matter more because the 25 rating they pull in is bigger than the 25 rating the bucks or blazers get.

its a star driven league. lebron is in a terrible market and the biggest draw in the sport. it dont matter where the big guys go.

also you cant say it doesn't matter where the stars go then say some cities matter way more than others...because the nba is star driven...the best teams almost always have the stars

thats actually exclusive to the nba. in mlb, the dodgers are barely a top 5 team, in the nhl and now nfl they are irrelevant. new york, of course, is always super important.

when listing the cities i was speaking more in broad terms, not specifically accounting for what players they have right now. like the warriors, on the whole, are on the sixers level of a draw but are now perhaps the biggest in the league. to make it easy:

1. la
2. ny
3. stars
4. big market teams like philly, houston, dallas, bay area
5. everyone else

so right now cleveland and okc are in group 3 but when lebron/durant leave they will be back in group 5

Both Sixers and Nuggets have had discussions with Clippers about Blake Griffin, per league sources. @sn_nba earlier reported Nuggets talks.

It's a bullshtein rumor but straight up I'd do it in a heartbeat. Not a Griffin fan but he's more of an NBA player than Oak will ever be. Has to do more with who's a more valuable asset moving forward.
