Xbox 1 wasn't backwards compatible either at first, so maybe Sony goes the same route eventually. And my understanding with xbox is that it's like an emulator. Not exactly sure how it impacts the games, but I guess that there are some lost functions or features.

i don't even keep games long enough to care about backwards compatibility.  i usually play it until i either beat it or am sick of it and sell it ebay.  i think i have like 4 games in my collection which is a lot for me.

the guy at game stop said PS4 will have some type of backwards play down the road but not sure how they will go about it. ill still keep the ps3 because we have some PS@ games we still like to play.

i will def look to thin out my collection but i tend to be one that holds onto them. prob should think of putting some up on ebay.

im thinking of checking out gamefly .. anyone here use them ? is it worth it ?

i used them years ago.  i think its good if you play regularly and you get through games relatively quickly.  i play maybe once or twice a week and i usually just do sports games that i play online so it wouldn't be good for me anymore

Gane Stop runs various promos for trade ins....couple weeks ago they were offering $100 store credit for 360 with 500gb hard drive. I probably should have jumped all over that because now it's down to $50. Oh well.

I doubt I'll keep 2 consoles though, so I'll either look for another trade in special or maybe just sell on CL or ebay.

SunMo

i always feel like i get ripped off after i leave gamestop.  it's easier because you go there and walk out with the money instead of having to wait for an ebay auction and then ship the item but you definitely get paid better on ebay

I might check out gamefly mainly for games for my Lil guy,  but still buy occasionally cause I tend to keep my sports and racing games.

I think $100 for a used 360 console is pretty reasonable. They definitely get you on game trade ins though, especially sports games...which is understandable, but still kind of shteiny.

But if I decide to trade my 360 in to them, I'll probably just turn in everything I've got and get as much store credit as I can to put towards a 1 or ps4.  Could takes days, weeks, or months to sell all my games on ebay.

Maybe I'll throw a bundle up on there to see if I get any takers.  What do you think a fair price would be for this:

XBox 360 slim with 500gb hard drive
3 wireless controllers
2 rechargeable battery packs
1 charging station (charges 2 controllers)
1 kinect
Rock Band 2 (with wireless guitar and wired mic. No drums)
Splinter Cell Conviction
NFS Most Wanted
Midnight Club LA
Assassin's Creed 3
Red Dead Redemption
Band Hero
Kinect Adventures
Kinect Game Party
Mortal Kombat
Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe
Splinter Cell Black List
Bass Pro The Strike (with wired fishing rod)
Guitar Hero 5 (with wireless guitar)
NBA 2k12
Ace Combat 6

$250?  More? Less?

smeags

250 sounds reasonable to me but you prob want to check what similar bundles are going for.

Decided to go with the PS4 for the lil guy (& me) ... Obvious choice given that he already has the PS Vita. Got the star wars battlefront bundle. Not bad, comes with 5 star wars games including battlefront.

Went into gamestop the other day to grab a couple games, nba 2k15 & fifa 2015, noticed ps4 consoles were all discounted ... The one I got dropped $50. Brought my receipt up and got the discount. Turned around and grabbed COD BO3 with the coin.

Win.

After my first 3 hours of play, I can tell that I'm going to donate hundreds of hours of my life to Blood Bowl 2.  Cool as farg.  I might even figure out a way to play online once I'm thoroughly bored by the AI.

I put about 40 hours into Fallout 4 because I fargin' love Fallout. About 35 hours of that was just doing the main story, which is usually garbage in Bethesda's games, but it was actually pretty good. The shooting's fun, and the settlement building stuff is alright. I look forward to the next 660 hours I spend in it.
