Title: CFFFL NFC Discussion
Post by: MURP on July 13, 2006, 12:51:25 PM
*this thread is for NFC discussion only, any other junk will be removed.*

QuoteYour live online draft is set for Tue Jul 25 8:00pm EDT [ Add to My Calendar ], which is 12 days, 7 hours, and 13 minutes from now (test your system). Please arrive at least 10 minutes early since your draft will start promptly at the assigned time. You can rank your players up until 45 minutes before your draft.

As far as the 5pm thing it looks like it was just Yahoo putting pacific time in there for some reason.  It is at 8pm on the 25th. Each pick gets 90 seconds.  If you dont make a pick by that time, Yahoo will pick a player from your pre rankings (assuming you preranked players.)  If you did not pre rank players and dont make a selection in that time then Yahoo will randomly select a player for your team.  You have been warned.

Here is the link to the Yahoo fantasy football help section (http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/football/index.html)

Yahoo randomly makes the draft order 30 minutes before the draft starts.

No head to head matchups plus a draft in July equals me not taking this seriously. Just thought I'd let you all know.

I don't think it does - especially with this many motherfargers playing, and the smaller roster size.

yeah Yahoo doesnt farg around with ending the draft.  heh.   they gotta use all that bandwidth for the next losers to do a live draft..   thats why its so hard to find a good live draft time on yahoo.   they only have a certain amount of time to dish out.

As usual my team is solid but unspectacular. If Lelie lands on his feet I like him as my 3rd WR. If Culpepper is healthy I like my QBs.

Oh, and Larry Johnson.

Bow down.

How the farg can you call anybody a farging chump when you're loving on Culpepper? As proven sans Moss the guy won't do shtein when healthy. But yeah, good job on having the first pick to get Johnson, hoser.

This draft critique is brought to you with the understanding of I just got home and neglected to pre-sort any players, and, better yet, drunkenly like my team. Rueben Droughns uber alles! That being truly stated, why the farg can I not cut him? BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Title: Re: CFFFL NFC Discussion
Post by: rjs246 on July 26, 2006, 08:20:07 AM
Don't be bitter, Tomahawk. I drafterd Culpepper as a backup plan. I've got Hasslebeck at QB who will be solid and predictable.

Between Manning Portis and Feely, you're going to be doing a lot of rooting for the opposition this year. Chump.

i got ripped a little for taking Rackers early, but that dude is money, especially from 50+

i took Peyton 1st.  with losing Edge, the Colts have said that they are going to pass more, so I look for a great year from him.

i'm feeling ok about my squad.
Title: Re: CFFFL NFC Discussion

For the record I HATE having the first pick in the draft 28 players come off the board before you get to pick your second player. But whatever. I'll still crush you fools.

my reggie recieving corps will trounce all of you anyway.

Title: Re: CFFFL NFC Discussion
Post by: PhillyGirl on July 26, 2006, 11:50:23 AM
He's my 3rd WR, what is the problem here? lol

Keep talking....you doubted my team last year as well.

REmember, I got to the SB a couple of years ago with Todd farging Pinkston as my starting WR and Jon Ritchie starting a few games (Tyrone wheatley too) for me at RB!
Title: Re: CFFFL NFC Discussion
Post by: rjs246 on July 26, 2006, 11:54:32 AM
Even the guy you beat in the league championship last year admits that he got lucky to beat my team and the week of the championship game my team outscored both of your teams. Don't go getting all excited about how lucky you got. Jabar Gaffney will be leading you right into the basement this year.
Title: Re: CFFFL NFC Discussion
Post by: PhillyGirl on July 26, 2006, 11:57:35 AM
Lets talk lucky, shall we?

You beat me by like 20 points last year in the game we played vs. each other.

Ladainian Tomlinson, Larry Johnson and another of my starters had a bye that week.

You be the judge.
Title: Re: CFFFL NFC Discussion
Post by: rjs246 on July 26, 2006, 11:59:33 AM
Wow that's great GMing! You drafted two starting RBs who had the same bye week.

Well done, superstar.

Also way to remember the insignificant details of my domination last year. It obviously was a very troubling moment for you. Good thing this year's league is points based, you won't have to worry about me beating up on your team so badly.
Title: Re: CFFFL NFC Discussion
Post by: PhillyGirl on July 26, 2006, 12:02:44 PM
larry johnson was not drafted as a starter last year. He was my 3rd RB at the time of the draft.

But it was a nice try.

Ha. I thought the draft was August 5th. I didn't rank any players or anything, and was pretty farging pissed at myself for not checking the thread to see if the draft date was still the same (couldn't if I wanted to anyway thanks to being in NC for training). But surprisingly the team is all that farged up. Other than the defensive selections Yahoo made for me, and farging Chad Pennington.  :-D

Grossman is on a bye - so I sign Huard.

ESPN reports Garrard starts so I pick him up since he's playing against HOU.

Then ESPN says oh, wait - Leftwich starts!

Now I can't sign another QB because its past the time limit.

Yay no points today! I hope Leftwich gets hurt.

I benched Lee Evans today. Good call.

Terrible.  :-D

And I've now leapfrogged from second to last place to 4th...with Fred Taylor still to play tonight.  ;)

It's been a nice view from the top all season long.

Whoo hoo...go me.  I think I was in first every week but one...

And I'm going into the finals in both of my 12-team money leagues...but that's for a different thread.

I like head to head matchups better. I lost total interest in this league and didn't even set up my team for last few weeks.

Not a terrible fantasy year.  I was in four leagues; finished first in two of them, second in another, and third in the remaining one.  Most importantly, though, I won the one with the $550 payout. ;)
