If it's the only section with the darkened helmet that shows a new post, why not?
It's not like :CF has an abundance of activity this time of year.

why do you just assume that i'm NOT following you around waiting for you to post?

i know nothing about darkened helmets....anyway who goes to the board listings...doesnt everyone bookmark the individual boards?

You'd know about the darkened helmets if you went to the board listings. It's a good way to see if anything new has been posted. So, no, I don't have the individual boards bookmarked, psycho.
you bookmark the page that lists the forums, that way you can pick and choose where you go. this isn't that hard.
your wasting an extra mouse click then....why go to the board listing then the board when you can go right to the board and look for the 'new' icon....damn and i thought i didnt know anything about computers
i'd rather waste the extra click than have 27 different bookmarks for the same site

Exactly. Plus, hunting through the bookmarks is no easier than looking at the board listing.
You suck at the internet, IGY.
he's great at putting together a fantasy league though, mad props.
i'd rather waste the extra click than have 27 4 different bookmarks for the same site
con eagle
con sports
con nfl
con gen
fantasy and tailgate dont warrant bookmarks as they shouldnt be visited more than once a week...but if they are hott at the moment create a temporary bookmark
trust me its much easier this way...what happens if you goto the board index and four different boards have new replies...then its:
goto eagle board
goto board index
goto general board
goto board index
goto sports board
goto board index
blah blah blah
while im:
goto eagles board
goto general board
goto sports board
you aint know nan son
You guys hanging out? I'll hang out.
pull up a milk crate
ha. i never knew anyone bookmarked every friggen section of the board. you know IGY, at the bottom of a thread there is a "jump to" area where you can jump from section to section without having everyone bookmarked.
IGY sucks at message boards
again why would i do that when my favorites are right on the screen at all times and i can just click the board i wanna go to in a milisecond...instead of messing around with a user unfriendly drop down menu
btw i feel as tho im opening a lot of eyes right now
you're not
whatever floats your boat IGY.
as far as the tailgate opener. Ill be there early with brew and dead animals. And maybe a home made iron on tshirt with something offensive about the Giants. Dawkins jersey to go on at gametime.
monday was originally my AWS day off...just today i just found out i have training that i have to goto the whole week...which is what spurred this thread to begin with...not happy about that at all but its a one oclock game which will prevent any curbiture of the drinking
long island iced tea has already been decided for our cooler drink...i dont deal with food other than to eat it...
i will definitely be there prior to 7

well im either coming from maryland or staying at a friends house in philly...neither of which are conducive to transporting food and keeping it fresh...it just works out better if i take care of the alcohol and the city people do the food....but yes it works out great...i dont even ever have to cook it as my one boy actually likes doing it all

i would laugh quite audibly if these happen to be the seats you've complained about and inquired about moving away from. if that was you who said that...which i am fairly certian it was.
hes probably talking about the row behind us...they dont bother me but those kids are out of control...altho my people can be and have been dicks at times
Quote from: ice grillin you on May 23, 2006, 04:41:20 PM
altho my people can be and have been dicks at times
i, for one, am shocked.
clint was blasted one game and actin a fool...so mad cause the rows below us are soft serve...so he was screaming out of control at people...and tried to fight one cat...i hope it wasnt sus
thast the only time i can recall a specific incident with our seats...other than my boy digs spitting beer on three taterskin fans for an entire game...but they dont count
awesome
I'm in the same row, seats 10-13. You probably sit behind the fingerman, right? My son (LSB) always sits on that side.
oh yeah...we talked about this before...yeah we are right behind fingerman...your son is cool peoples...we get a kick out of your son cracking up at everything...i take it tho youre trying to move him away from all that mess...
I remember talking about it, too, now. lol One of the guys in your group tends to sleep through many of the games.
It's not so much getting him away from there. He's more than capable. It's just that some of the people behind us are getting to be too annoying to tolerate. I almost got into it with a guy last year. I just don't need the stress.
I actually had to read this thread twice to believe it.
Sus & IGY are not only in the same section, they're just a few seats away from each other?
That's great. :-D

you talking about "corey"...or those kids behind my seats who love to drop the C word at will
The corey thing is okay. I do have an issue with the people screaming (and I mean nasty screaming) at the other fans to stand up. All the time. I stand a lot, but only at normal times. It just pisses me off to hear these guys berating other people like that.
Have you ever heard the woman who sits behind us? She's like a shrill witch, yelling at "fat ass", and saying stuff that's just plain wrong. Like yelling at players who aren't even on the field. I can appreciate idiots. I can appreciate obnoxious drunks. But obnoxios, drunken idiots I just want to grab and show them the "quick way" downstairs.
i dont really hear people on that side of me...i mostly hear the guys behind me and fingerman...but my boys who sit bwtn me and you have mentioned her several times...lol...they cant stand her either...my one boy hates corey too but he sits directly in front of him...i personally love him...hes harmless and provides great entertainment...when hes actually in his seat...if youre gonna talk as much crap as him at least be there...half the times he shungry hungry hippos in with five minutes left in the first quarter...then disappears on and off all game
The guy with the hard hat and zubaz pants used to be in our row at the Vet. He's a riot. We definitely like the characters. That's what makes us second guess our desire to move. You just don't get entertainment like that everywhere.
how easily can you move...is it just a matter of calling the eagles up and they will accomodate you
Quote from: ice grillin you on May 24, 2006, 09:30:12 AM
is it just a matter of calling the eagles up and they will accomodate you
Do you really think it's that easy?
Well, maybe it is if you want crappier seats.
i wish i had the last row at the top, like i did at the Vet
you cant get crappier seats than we already have...and no i didnt think it was that easy but the way sus is talking hes making it seem like they could just up and move if they wished
No, it's not easy. I can request a move, and they'll "try" and accommodate us...for NEXT season (not the upcoming one). So basically, we'll be staying put unless something miraculous happens. Maybe I'll just decide to end my season ticket holder status by tossing somebody. :-\
i'll take your tickets
The price is one million dollars. Cash, up front.
for real sus if you ever think of selling your tickets lemme know...we have people a couple sections over that are trying to move up with us...maybe in 07 you could work out a switch with them...they are in a way more fan friendly area
how many total seats do you have....3?

much better than drinking a cranberry lambic or whatever other trendy swill you partake in
plus we have females with us that like to be upright for the game so sometimes i gotta throw them a bone
and
i got CRAZY with the recipe and knocked the grapefruit juice from four parts to three
oh and sea breezes are fargin good especially early in the year when the parking lot is scorching hot
holla back
The Sea Breeze is no less fruity than the Donkey Punch, just has a less fruity name.
or the mamula for that matter
sea breeze has the gayish name tho...perhaps we could have a name that drink contest on the board
Sea Breeze --> Pancaked Eli

95 South to NC highway 70 East. Take that to 24 West. Then call for specific directions to my house.
I'd suggest getting an early start. DC traffic is a bitch.

I am getting tickets this week to the Texans/Eagles opener, there are actually quite a bit of tickets still left for sale. If anybody is going to be there let me know a couple of guys from my platoon should be coming with me, none of which are fans of either team so it would be nice to meet up with some Eagles fans.
For lack of anywhere else to ask this...
Have any season ticket holders on CF received their seats yet? I wouldn't normally care, but the preseason opener against the Browns is now only 8 days away, our seats are sold, and we've yet to get our tickets. Hadn't seen anyone else mention it in other threads, although it's more than possible it was posted and I missed it.
I dont have em yet either. Eagles ticket office said they started mailing them out monday. Expect to see them soon.
Cool, thanks MURP. Appreciate it.

That's dedication. I plan to arrive at my couch about 1 hour before gametime.
on the rare occasions when im at home i dont go near my couch until five minutes before...it drives me crazy to sit there and wait...is there a slower three hours in life than sitting at home sunday mornings waiting for an eagles 1pm start
I'm going to be there by 8:00 at the latest.
IGY you still in the same spot?
I'm gonna be at a wedding in CT this weekend and am planning on driving down early Sunday for the game. Problem is I got a single ticket to the game, so unless any of my boys can get those standing room only tix tomorrow, I'm dropping my girl off at her friend's in Chinatown and hitting the game solo.
yeah we are always in the same spot
i could probably score you a ticket if you need it
my wife and i have tickets to the game (she never even watched a game before we met 5 years ago...now she's getting into it). if i can convince her to get out the door early enough...what should i look for to find you tards?

I should start drinking.
Did ya guys see me? I was there. I was. Seriously. I was in the Joselio Hanson jersey drinking orange juice and eating a hoagie. You can't not remember. I was there.
i got to meet some celebrities yesterday, first was IGY and then SunMo which would have been enough until Beermonkey leans over and said "hey, doesn't that guy look like the DTC Mayor". it gave us something to laugh about for a while knowing that we were tailgating with the Philly Mayor, i pondered getting a traffic cone and asking him to parade around while holding it over his head. i laughed at the thought and realized i didn't need anything else to drink.
Wait, so SunMo is the mayor? I'm confused.
i am?
no, the mayor was some random dude hanging out at the tailgate. i don't know if he looked like the mayor, at that point i had several alabama slammers, and multiple concoctions mixed by die-hard. i would have laughed at anyone walking around with a traffic cone over their head and nicknamed them the mayor.
sorry i missed everyone. had a wedding in CT on Friday, went to AC on saturday, and basically didn't get any sleep for 2 days. got to the stadium around noonish and just went inide to meet some friends. i'll definitely be at IGYs for a few tailgates though. especially Dallas in 3 weeks.
